5271Mk. II & Mk. II* Gunsight Replacement Reflector - Click for the bigger pictureIn StockMk. II & Mk. II* Gunsight Replacement Reflector - Most of the original WWII figher gunsights we see have chipped or broken reflectors fitted. Original replacements are both difficult to find and expensive, so we have here a much cheaper and practical solution. This item has been made up to the original dimensions using optically corrected perspex. Fitted to an original gunsight, it is virtually impossible to tell it is not an original item as you can see on the attached picture showing an identical example use on my Spitfire cockpit section project. We currently only have one example in stock but more are on order and are expected in soon. 4.5" square (114mm)£35.00

4372Air Ministry Salters No. 20T Trade Spring Scales - Click for the bigger pictureIn StockAir Ministry Salters No. 20T Trade Spring Scales - In a lifetime collecting RAF memorabilia, this is the first set of RAF issue scales we have ever seen. These are clearly marked on the brass dial with a crown, A.M. and 4A/NIV C22B and B122754/40, thus dating the instrument to 1940 and highly likely it served through the Battle of Britain. The dial is also engraved Silvesters Patent, Made in England, to weigh 150 lbs. On the back of the instrument is painted C Flight, although sadly no squadron details. We do not know the exact use for these scales but possibly for weighing kit bags and personal items prior to an overseas posting to calculate the aircraft's loading weights. We spoke to a specialist Salter's scale collector and he too confirmed the rarity of this item and suspect we will wait a long time to find another. It is heavy, so please check delivery costs with us before ordering. Dial diameter 15.5" (39cm)£245.00

3356Luftwaffe Aircraft Seat Frame - Click for the bigger pictureReservedLuftwaffe Aircraft Seat Frame - This item is reported to have been recovered from Lubek in 1945 and brought back to the UK as a souvenir. It was then re-upholstered and used for many years by the owner's children in their playroom which was the condition in which we purchased it. When the cover was removed we found a paper label reading German Jet Komet Pilot's Seat Lubek 1945. We also discovered under the paint an original data plate which is somewhat faded but appears to be stamped RGS145 and below 27-H-1970 and 5783-14, although this is not entirely clear. The chair features four rubber pads carrying ink stamps which are difficult to decipher but could possibly idicate a flight school. The frame which appears to be aluminium alloy is finished in original black paint. If any visitors can give us a positive ID, we would be happy to add that to our description, but in the meantime it remains a mystery item but no doubt with a story to tell! Measures 15" wide by 16" deep and 20" high(38cm x 42cm x 53cm).£110.00

It has subsequently been defused to make a display item. This type of incendiary was dropped by the Luftwaffe in clusters and was used throughout the war. ARP's were taught to neutralise them by placing in a bucket and filling with sand. It has various stamps on the body and cap, including 306 DL 145 and has a further mark AZ8312. Body retains much original silver paint, whilst the fins show a little rust and pitting. Measures 13" (35cm)A Recent Sale

4666Harvard I & II Spade Grip AH2242 - Click for the bigger pictureSoldHarvard I & II Spade Grip AH2242 - A classic example of a WWII RAF spade grip which is similar in many ways to an early Spitfire example but as the Harvard had toe operated brakes, there was no requirement for a brake lever or guide plates. Both hydrolic pipes are in place and the gun button, finished in alloy rather than brass, works as intended. In original black paint with a near perfect grip cover, it would be hard to find a more original example.A Recent Sale
