| 2178 |  |  | Trench Art Tankard celebrating the North African Campaign - A wonderful example depicting the North African coastline from Morocco through Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, with cartoons showing soldiers, tanks and palm trees as well as a brief description of events and dates. These commence on the 8th November, 1942 with American landings in Morocco and conclude on 13th May, 1945. The tankard has been manufactured from brass salvaged from the actual battle fields in North Africa and makes a wonderful momento of that critical campaign in WWII. Height 4.75" (12.5cm) | | 2124 |  | | Field Ambulance Presentation Cigarette Box - Manufactured from sterling silver and engraved to lid 6(U)FD AMB 1942. Below this there are a number of engraved signatures. We believe this item has been presented by members of the 6th Field Ambulance Unit, probably by colleagues of a departing member. The silver plate shows some wear, but overall in excellent original condition with wood lining. 13cm x 8cm x 4.5cm |
