Escape Boots

RAF, 1943 pattern 22c/917. The suede leg section was designed to be cut away if the owner was forced down in enemy territory. The remaining shoe section looked like civilian footwear to aid an escape undetected. This is a nice example in size 8 (42), slight damage to one zip and, like most escape boots, the secret knife is missing.
