USAAF Type A-11 Pilot's Watch by Waltham

An extremely attractive example of this classic aviator's watch. The perfusely engraved back plate carries the code AF.44-47201, which dates the watch to a 1944 contract. It features a 16 jewel movement with a central sweep second hand and a hacking device which is in good order. The canvas military style strap shows some wear and could be an original item or possibly a later replacement. These watches were also issued to RAF air crew from 1942. The case and crystal are in remarkedly good condition and appears to be in good working order.
