Spitfire Skin Relic

A framed and glazed section of metal taken from original Spitfire aircraft during restoration. This is embossed Supermarine Works, Vickers, Southampton and with Spitfire type code 300 and is also stamped Eastleigh and K5054 - the serial number of the prototype Spitfire. We do not know the actual airframe this relic came from (certainly not K5054! but still a very attractive display item. Frame measures 9.5" x 7.5" (24 cm x 20 cm)
